Katie-Grace Gibson
Patient Coordinator

Raised just outside of Sacramento, I’ve always known I had a passion for mental health. From helping care for friends and family to volunteering at homeless shelters, I’ve seen how mental well-being impacts one’s life firsthand. These experiences fuel my desire to help others.

In high school, I trained to become a medical assistant through a career and technical training course. Because of this program, I was able to work in an urgent care helping patients first hand until my graduation in 2020. I attended Sierra College in Rocklin, CA where I received my dual Associates in Biology and Natural Sciences, before transferring to UC Santa Barbara in 2022.

I graduated from UCSB in 2025 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychological and Brain Sciences. Though I’ve only been in Santa Barbara for three years, it has come to feel like home to me.

At Sun Psychiatry Santa Barbara, I have the privilege of helping patients take the first steps towards attaining their mental health goals. I take care to ensure that every patient is met with understanding, grace, and compassion, no matter how small the interaction.

My future plans include a career in osteopathic medicine, and I am excited to see how my time here will shape me and my path forward.
