"I think I'll be a nurse when I get big. I'll work in a hospital and take care of all the people."
~ Deborah Moore, 6 years old

At the heart of Sun Psychiatry is my vision for a more holistic and personalized approach to psychiatric care. I've always believed in looking beyond traditional boundaries and symptoms, focusing on crafting individualized pathways for each patient's mental and physical wellness.

My journey began at UCLA, where I graduated with a Bachelor's in Nursing in 1992. My initial experiences in psychiatric care were at the West LA VA, where I saw firsthand the profound impact of mental health on overall well-being. My dedication to patient care and insatiable curiosity led me to Cedars-Sinai, where I specialized as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse.

In 1999, I returned to UCLA to further my education and earned a Master's in Nursing. Over the years, I've delved into various medical specialties, from Urology and Pediatric Surgery to Asthma & Allergy and Aesthetics. Each of these experiences enriched my perspective, but it was Psychiatry that truly resonated with me.

With over 13 years dedicated to psychiatric care, I founded Sun Psychiatry. It's the embodiment of my holistic vision for mental health, integrating the depth and breadth of my experiences. Here at Sun Psychiatry, I champion a unique approach, ensuring that every patient benefits from my comprehensive understanding of well-being.
